This is a complete listing of featured poetry readings by John Burroughs (a.k.a. Jesus Crisis) and Lix and Kix poetry events produced/emceed by John Burroughs & Dianne Borsenik during the years 2008 and 2009.

December 15th 2009
 (7 pm) - Lix and Kix at Bela Dubby
featured Heather Ann Schmidt (here from Michigan to launch her new Crisis Chronicles Press chapbook The Bat's Love Song: American Haiku) and Nin Andrews (author of The Book of Orgasms and the newly published Southern Comfort from CavanKerry Press).  An open mic followed.

November 13th 2009 (8:30 pm) - at Borders Books (17200 Royalton Rd. in Strongsville), John Burroughs, aka Jesus Crisis, was the featured reader during the Deep Cleveland Poetry Hour.

November 17th 2009 (7 pm) - Lix and Kix at Bela Dubby
hosted three fine featured poets: Mnemosyne editor Jen Pezzo (aka Kerowyn Rose), MoonLit editor (and author of the vanZeno Press collection Emergency Contact) Claire McMahon, and (from Cincinnati) novelist (and author of the West End Press poetry collection Crow Call) Michael Henson. An open mic followed.

October 20th 2009 (7 pm) at the Bela Dubby Art Gallery and Beer Cafe (13321 Madison Ave. in Lakewood) - Lix and Kix (hosted by Dianne Borsenik and me) break the mold! Featured poet Ralph La Charity (from Cincinnati) and 10-string guitarist JJ Haaz wove in and out of an experimental fu@k-the-format get-in-where-you-fit-in poetic open mic free-for-all on the Lix and Kix poetry series' one year anniversary.

October 17th 2009 (7 pm) at Visible Voice Books (1023 Kenilworth Ave. in Cleveland) - Jane Rosenberg LaForge, Christopher Bowen, Dianne Borsenik and John Burroughs (a.k.a. Jesus Crisis) read for Burning River, as the book launch celebration for After Voices continued.

October 16th 2009 (7 pm) at the Morgan Conservatory (1754 E. 47th Street in Cleveland) - The first of two days of Cleveland readings hosted by Burning River (www.burningriver.info). I performed poetry accompanied by 10-string guitar master JJ Haaz. Jane Rosenberg LaForge from New York (we celebrated the release of her new chapbook, After Voices), Bree of Cleveland Heights' Green Panda Press, and Burning River's own Christopher Bowen were also featured.

September 15th 2009
- Lix and Kix at Bela Dubby in Lakewood, Ohio, featured poets the David Smith (a.k.a. Handsome Duke Deal from Los Angeles, CA) and Russ Vidrick (Cleveland, OH) were joined by musical guest Leah Lou.  Open mic followed.

September 8th 2009 - John "Jesus Crisis" Burroughs was one of several featured poets (including Black Poetic) during the Nia Coffeehouse's debut at the Karamu House in Cleveland.  Vince Robinson and the Jazz Poets hosted -- sponsored by the Cleveland Museum of Art.

September 5th 2009 - John "Jesus Crisis" Burroughs and Dianne Borsenik read from and signed their latest chapbooks at the Last Wordsmith Book Shoppe in North East, Pennsylvania (near Erie) - with featured music by Chernaly.

18 August 2009Ra Washington, Kisha Nicole Foster and (from Detroit, MI) Lisa Vicious™ were our featured poets at the Bela Dubby Art Gallery and Beer Cafe in Lakewood, Ohio.  Open mic followed.

15 August 2009 - Mint Jam '09 at the Crosby Mint Farm in St. Johns, Michigan.  Click here to read more about it.

7 August 2009 - Jesus Crisis, Dianne Borsenik and Gina Tabasso were featured poets at Pumpkin Hollow Antiques & Cafe in Bellville, Ohio, emceed by Mark Hersman.

21 July 2009 - Celebrating our relocation to the Bela Dubby!  Scheduled features were Cleveland's own Terry Provost (author of Compassionate Imperialism) and two poets all the way from New York state: Will Northerner and Kent Brown.

16 June 2009 - Ohio poets Patti O'Luanaigh and Clarissa Jakobsons were our featured performers for Lix and Kix 9 at Visible Voice Books in Cleveland.

19 May 2009 - Finally back in Cleveland after years of living abroad, legendary poets, publishers, artists and world travelers Steven B. Smith & Kathy Ireland Smith were our featured readers for Lix and Kix 8 at Visible Voice Books in Cleveland.



21 April 2009 - Lix and Kix 7 at Visible Voice Books (1023 Kenilworth in Cleveland) - Our featured poets were (from Monroeville) Zachary Moll, & (from Toledo) Michael Grover.

10 March 2009 at 9 p.m. in Toledo, Ohio - The Collingwood Poetry Series presents featured poets Jesus Crisis & Dianne Borsenik at the Collingwood Arts Center (2413 Collingwood Blvd.) in Toledo, Ohio.  Michael Grover and John Dorsey were our hosts.

17 March 2009 (St. Patrick's Day) - We'll be featuring poets Gina Tabasso & T.M. Göttl (with musical accompaniment by Zach) at the Bela Dubby Art Gallery and Beer Cafe at 13321 Madison Ave. in Lakewood Ohio.

17 February 2009 - Lix and Kix V featured Cleveland poets Steve Goldberg and Nick Traenkner, and was hosted by Jesus Crisis & Dianne Borsenik at the 806 Wine & Martini Bar in Cleveland.


20 January 2009 - Lix and Kix IV, featured poet C. Allen Rearick & poet/playwright Elise Geither, and was hosted by Jesus Crisis & Dianne Borsenik at the 806 Wine & Martini Bar.

14 January 2009 - Featured reading by John "Jesus Crisis" Burroughs & Jason Floyd Williams at Mac's Backs bookstore at 1820 Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

16 December 2008 - Lix and Kix III, featured Cleveland poet Miles Budimir, Toledo poet John Dorsey and singer/songwriter Leah Collova, hosted by Jesus Crisis & Dianne Borsenik at the 806 Wine & Martini Bar.

18 November 2008 - Lix and Kix II, featuring poet Roger Craik & poet/singer Dominique Glick, hosted by Jesus Crisis & Dianne Borsenik at the 806 Wine & Martini Bar.

7 October 2008 - Anti-censorship poetry extravaganza (first-ever Lix & Kix) at the 806 Wine and Martini Bar in Cleveland, featuring Jesus Crisis &
